Codeyard started as a Tuesday night JavaScript class for people who already had jobs and wanted different ones. It is still taught by working engineers, live, in small groups, and it still runs on one rule: if we can't show you a number, we don't say it.

Questions.

Do you guarantee a job?

No, and be wary of anyone who does. We publish what happened instead: of the last 112 people who started, 65 were working in software within 180 days of their graduation date, and the rest are listed by reason.

Do I need a computer science degree?

No. You need to be 18 or older, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and pass a 45-minute technical interview. The free prep course gets most beginners there in four weeks.

What if I fail an assessment?

You get one retake, a week later, with an instructor's notes on what to fix. If you miss the retake you can move to the next cohort once, at no extra cost.

What does a loan really cost?

On the full-time program, a 36-month loan at a sample 12.49% APR adds $3,662 in interest. The calculator above shows the finance charge for every option before you apply.

What if I need to leave?

Cancel before the first class or within 7 days of paying, whichever is later, for a full refund. After that you pay only for the weeks you attended, until 60% of the program has passed.
