    Anything we should know?

Your first Sunday, from the lot to your seat

    1. Park

Turn into our lot from S 12th St. The two rows closest to the north door are marked for guests, and street meters on River St are free on Sundays.

    2. Front door

A greeter in a green lanyard is at the north door from 20 minutes before each service. If you planned your visit, they have your name.

    3. Coffee

Coffee is on your right as you walk in: free, with decaf and oat milk. You can take it to your seat.

    4. Kids' desk

The kids' desk is by the stairs. We print a name sticker for each child and one pickup tag for you with the same code, then walk you to their room.

    5. The room

The Main Room seats 320 on wooden chairs. Music starts on the hour, with the words on the screens. Sing, or don't.

    6. Your seat

Sit anywhere. The back two rows on the right stay open for anyone arriving late or with a baby. We're done in about 70 minutes.

The 11 o'clock, minute by minute

The 9 o'clock is the same, two hours earlier.

    1. Doors, coffee and kids' check-in open

Greeters are at the north door. The kids' desk is by the stairs.

    2. Music, about 20 minutes

Four or five songs. The words are on the screens. Stand, sit, sing or listen.

    3. Welcome and a short prayer

Someone says hello, mentions one or two things happening this week, and prays.

    4. The talk, about 30 minutes

This fall it's Songs for the Road, one psalm a week. Bring questions; you can text them in.

    5. One more song

On the first Sunday of the month, communion is shared here too.

    6. Done. Coffee's still on.

Pick up your kids with your tag. Your greeter will look for you by the coffee to say goodbye.

    Questions people ask first

    Address
    1150 W River St, Boise, ID 83702
    Times
Sundays at 9:00 and 11:00 AM
    Getting here
Guest rows in the lot off S 12th St, or free street meters on Sundays
    What should I wear?

Whatever you'd wear to get coffee. Most people wear jeans; a few people dress up and that's fine too.

Do I have to sing, stand or give?

No. Plenty of people sit and listen. We never ask guests to give, and there is no offering plate passed.

    Can I take communion?

On the first Sunday of each month, communion is open to anyone who follows Jesus. If you'd rather not, just let the tray pass.

    What if my baby cries?

Babies are welcome in the room. The back two rows on the right are kept for parents, and the Shallows nursery is down the hall.

    Is the building accessible?

The north door and the Main Room are step-free, there is an accessible restroom by the coffee, and assisted listening receivers are at the welcome desk.

Will I end up on a mailing list?

Only if you want to. After a planned visit we send a Saturday text and one Monday email, then we stop unless you ask for more.
