Riverbend Community Church

A seven-page site for a downtown Boise church, built around a first-time guest planning a Sunday and being met at the door by name.

What pastors and church administrators tell us

“Visitors come once and we never see them again.”

What this build moves: second-visit rate: every planned guest is met by name, texted on Saturday and invited to one next step

“Giving dips every summer.”

What this build moves: recurring giver share: monthly is one switch, the fee can be covered, and the budget is published

“Nobody signs up for groups.”

What this build moves: next-step signups: a finder by day, area and life stage, plus a four-week group for newcomers

What this build has that a typical church site doesn't

  • A plan-your-visit scheduler that knows the kids' rooms by age and names the greeter at the door
  • A photo walk of the first Sunday, from the parking lot to a seat, timed to the service they picked
  • Service times, address and guest parking on the first screen of every visit
  • Kids' check-in explained step by step, with the safety rules a parent actually asks about
  • A group finder by day, area and life stage, with ask to join instead of a phone list
  • A three-tap give form with a monthly switch, fee cover and the IRS acknowledgment rules spelled out
  • Last year's budget set like a menu, so anyone can see where the money went
  • A Saturday text, a Monday note and a re-invite for guests whose plans changed

The plan-your-visit scheduler

A guest picks a Sunday and a time, adds who's coming and their kids' ages, and walks the morning in photos from the parking lot to a seat. They leave with a greeter's name and a door. You get a named guest instead of an anonymous visit.

We only ask your kids' ages now. Names go on their stickers at check-in.

    Anything we should know?

Your first Sunday, from the lot to your seat

    1. Park

Turn into our lot from S 12th St. The two rows closest to the north door are marked for guests, and street meters on River St are free on Sundays.

    2. Front door

A greeter in a green lanyard is at the north door from 20 minutes before each service. If you planned your visit, they have your name.

    3. Coffee

Coffee is on your right as you walk in: free, with decaf and oat milk. You can take it to your seat.

    4. Kids' desk

The kids' desk is by the stairs. We print a name sticker for each child and one pickup tag for you with the same code, then walk you to their room.

    5. The room

The Main Room seats 320 on wooden chairs. Music starts on the hour, with the words on the screens. Sing, or don't.

    6. Your seat

Sit anywhere. The back two rows on the right stay open for anyone arriving late or with a baby. We're done in about 70 minutes.

    Typical siteOur rebuild
Drag to compare. A typical community church site vs our rebuild.
    • A 'service times' page became a plan-your-visit scheduler with a greeter who knows your name.
    • Kids' check-in, rooms and safety rules are on one page a nervous parent can read in a minute.
    • Groups went from a PDF list to a finder by day, area and life stage, with ask to join.

    Built to respect

No candidate endorsements, party content or campaign links anywhere (Johnson Amendment). Written acknowledgment for any gift of $250 or more and a quid pro quo note over $75. Kids' photos only with written parent consent, and no data collected from children under 13 (COPPA). Texts only with opt-in and STOP in every message (TCPA). Livestreamed music under a CCLI streaming license.
