Insurance questions
What's the difference between in and out of network?
In network, your insurer has agreed our fees, so your share is lower and we bill them directly. Out of network, you pay at the visit and your insurer pays you back for part of it. We file the claim either way.
Why might my cleaning not be covered?
Most plans pay for two cleanings a year, and some only one every six months to the day. If yours is too soon, we'll tell you the first covered date before you book.
What is a yearly maximum?
The most your plan pays in a year, often $1,000 to $2,000. When a plan needs more than that, we can split it across two plan years.
Will you send my treatment to insurance first?
Yes, for anything over $500 we can ask your insurer for a pre-estimate. It takes one to three weeks.
