Our process, start to signed
Two meetings, about three weeks and one flat fee. Here is every step, how long it takes and what you do at each one.
Build your plan online
10 minutes, any time
Answer six questions and see the plan, every document in it and the fee. Then book a fit call, or fill in the intake questionnaire first.
A free fit call
20 minutes, Zoom or phone
An attorney confirms the plan and the fee, answers your first questions and tells you what to bring. If a plan isn't right for you, we say so.
The design meeting
About 90 minutes, week 1
We choose your people together: who inherits, who manages money if you can't, who makes medical decisions, who would raise the kids. You leave with the fee agreement to sign.

Drafts to read at home
Within 10 business days
Your documents arrive with a two-page summary in plain words. Mark anything that's unclear, and we change it before the signing. Revisions are part of the fee.

The signing meeting
About 45 minutes, week 3
In our office, with our notary and two witnesses. You sign once, take home your binder, and we keep a scanned copy and the originals you'd like us to hold.

Funding the trust
Within 30 days
We record your new deed with the county and send each bank and brokerage a letter. Thirty days after signing we check that every account moved.
A review every three years
30 minutes, free
We write to you every three years and offer a call. Births, marriages, moves and businesses change plans; most updates are a flat $450.
What to bring to the design meeting
- A list of what you own, with rough values: home, accounts, retirement, life insurance, business
- Names and ages of your children, and anyone else you want to include
- Who you'd trust with money, with medical decisions and with your kids, plus a backup for each
- Any will, trust or power of attorney you already have, even an old one
- Your most recent property tax notice, if you own a home
Don't send these by email before we've agreed to work together. Bring them, or upload them after you sign the fee agreement.
What you'll hear from us
