Everything a regulator requires us to give you, and a few things we'd want to know ourselves. In a real build, each document links to the current filed PDF.
Form CRS
Our relationship summary, four pages, plain words.
- What we do: financial planning and, for retirement income clients, investment management, for individuals and families.
- What you pay: a flat fee of $1,500 once, $4,800 a year or $6,600 a year, published on our fees page. You also pay any fund expenses and custodian charges directly to them.
- Our conflicts: because you pay us a flat fee, we have no reason to favour one account or product. We do benefit if you stay a client, so we tell you when you no longer need us.
- Legal or disciplinary history: none for the firm or any planner. You can search us at Investor.gov/CRS.
- Questions to ask us, from the SEC: 'Given my financial situation, should I choose an investment advisory service? Why or why not?' We answer each one on the intro call.
Form ADV Part 2A and 2B
The firm brochure and each planner's supplement.
- Part 2A covers services, fees, how we invest, our code of ethics and our custodian arrangements.
- Part 2B covers each planner's education, experience, disciplinary history and other business activities.
- We deliver both before you sign, and offer an updated copy every year.
Privacy notice
What we collect and who sees it.
- We collect what you give us to build your plan: statements, tax returns, contact details. We never sell it.
- We share it only with the custodian holding your accounts, our planning software and as the law requires.
- The snapshot on our home page runs in your browser. Nothing you enter is stored or sent unless you book a call.
How the readiness snapshot works
Criteria, methodology and limits of our interactive tool.
- What it does: projects savings year by year in today's dollars, from your age to 95, and compares them with the savings that would last to age 90 and to age 95 at your spending level.
- Assumptions: 2.5% inflation; 4.0% real growth before retirement and 3.0% after; spending of 80% of current pay; Social Security for one earner at 67 from the 2025 benefit formula; pensions held flat in dollars.
- Limits: it ignores taxes, Medicare premiums, one-off costs, a spouse's benefits, market swings and the order in which returns arrive. It does not consider any specific investment, and other assumptions could show better or worse results.
- Results vary with each use and over time, as inputs and assumptions change. Every result is hypothetical and is not a guarantee or a prediction.
How the fee calculator works
The arithmetic, in full.
- Each year the portfolio grows at the rate you set. The percentage fee is then charged on the year-end balance. Our flat fee starts at $4,800 and is assumed to rise 3% a year.
- Both fees are taken from the account, so the comparison includes the growth each fee would have earned.
- It is an illustration of fee arithmetic, not a projection of any portfolio's returns.
