About an hour, start to finish. The first 15 minutes are a medical exam, because Botox and filler are prescription treatments. It is free.
What is a good-faith exam?
Before anyone gives you a prescription treatment, a physician or nurse practitioner meets you in person, takes your history and decides it is safe. That is the good-faith exam.
At Juniper it is done by Jess Alvarez, FNP-C, or Dr. Helen Marquez, MD. They ask about medicines, allergies, pregnancy, past treatments and what you want to change, look at your skin and face at rest and moving, and write it in your chart. If a treatment isn't right for you, they say so and you pay nothing.
The hour, in order.
- Before you comeWe text a secure link to your intake and consent forms. They take about 8 minutes. Skip fish oil, ibuprofen and alcohol for 48 hours if you might have filler.
- ArriveLena checks you in. No makeup is needed for Botox; for filler or laser we have cleanser in every room.
- The exam15 minutes with Jess or Dr. Marquez, as above. Photos are taken for your chart only.
- Your plan, in writingThe areas, the product, the units or syringes and the total. You can take it home and decide later.
- Treatment, if you want itBotox takes about 15 minutes. Filler 30 to 45 with numbing. We hold your next visit before you leave.
- That evening and at two weeksYour injector texts aftercare that night, and checks in at day 14 when Botox shows its full result.
Deposits and changes.
Consults are free and need no deposit. A treatment visit is held with a $50 deposit, credited to your bill.
Move or cancel up to 24 hours before at no charge, by text or online. Later than that, the deposit covers the held time.
Running late? Text us. Up to 15 minutes we still treat you; after that we may need to shorten or move the visit.
Your records stay medical.
Intake and consent forms are sent by a HIPAA-compliant secure link and stored in your medical record, not in a marketing tool.
Our booking and form pages carry no advertising pixels or tracking scripts, so what you tell us about your health never reaches an ad platform.
Your photos are for your chart. Using one in marketing needs a separate, signed photo consent that names where it will appear, and you can withdraw it at any time.
