Pet in trouble right now? Is it urgent?

Every worry, the right door

Tell us why you're coming and answer a few plain questions. Booking sends you to a wellness slot, a sick visit held for today, or straight to the 24-hour ER. It never guesses a diagnosis.

Tell us

A due date, a limp, vomiting since last night. Start with whatever is on your mind.

We ask

Three or four questions about what is happening right now. Only how soon, never what it is.

You're seen

A booked visit, one of today's held sick visits, or the ER with its number ready to call.

Fear Free, every visit

A veterinarian kneeling on a non-slip mat, offering a treat to a calm dog.

What that means here

Treats from the moment you arrive, non-slip mats on every floor, exams on the floor if your dog prefers, and no scruffing, ever. Cats wait in their own room. If a visit is going badly, we stop and book a calmer one.

Who you'll see

Three veterinarians, two registered technicians and a front desk team, every one of them Fear Free Certified and renewed each year. You'll see the same doctor each visit if you want to.

Questions we get

Are you taking new clients?

Yes. A new-client exam is $68, the same as for everyone, with no sign-up fee. Most weeks the first open time is within three days.

Do you see emergencies?

No. We are a general practice with same-day sick visits while we're open. For emergencies, and after 6 PM, go to Ridgeline Animal Emergency on Brevard Road, open 24 hours: (828) 555-0199.

What does a wellness exam cost?

$68. Vaccines, tests and medicine are priced separately, and you see each one on a written estimate before we start.

How do I pay?

At the end of the visit, by card, cash, CareCredit or Scratchpay. Anything over $250 gets a written estimate first.

Can I get a refill without a visit?

If we have examined your pet in the last 12 months, yes: ask online and pick it up the next day. State rules don't let us prescribe for a pet we haven't seen.

Do you see rabbits?

Dr. Raman sees rabbits, guinea pigs and ferrets on Thursdays. Book online or call, and we'll set aside a longer slot.

Who can see my pet's records?

You, and any vet you name in writing. Nobody else.

What is a happy visit?

Drop in any weekday from 2 to 4 PM for a treat, a weigh-in and a walk through the door. Free, no appointment. It makes the next real visit calmer.
