About 12 minutes in all, on your phone, any time before the visit. They save you 15 minutes at the desk.
We get the old records
Name your previous vet and we send them the release. Most records arrive within two working days.
Your first visit
Plan on 40 minutes. We start with treats and questions, not the table. You leave with a written plan and what's due when.

What to bring
- Any records you have, even a photo of an old vaccine certificate
- The names of any medicine or food they're on
- A fresh stool sample in a bag, for wellness visits
- Your dog on a flat leash, your cat in a carrier with a towel over it
- Them a little hungry, so the treats work
Records and privacy
North Carolina keeps veterinary records confidential. We share your pet's file only with you, or with a vet you name in writing, and send a copy to you free within two working days of asking.
Paying for care
At the visit. Card, cash, CareCredit or Scratchpay, at the end of the visit.
Estimates first. Anything over $250 gets a written estimate you sign before we start.
Insurance. We send invoices and records to your insurer the same day, so you can claim.
Plans. Wellness plans from $22 a month spread the basics over 12 months. See the prices.
