Second Act Studio

A career-change coaching site for a small Austin practice, where a scored readiness assessment sends ready buyers to an application with two real call times and everyone else to a free workshop.

What career coaches tell us

“My calendar is full of calls with people who can't afford me.”

What this build moves: share of discovery calls that are qualified, and close rate

“I get followers, not clients.”

What this build moves: lead-to-booked-call rate

“People book and ghost.”

What this build moves: call show rate

What this build has that a typical coaching site doesn't

  • A scored readiness assessment that asks about budget before a call is offered
  • Two real call times shown on the result, held for 30 minutes on the application
  • A free workshop with its own date picker for everyone not ready yet
  • A cost-of-staying calculator built from the visitor's own pay gap and years
  • A results ledger that counts every person, including those who didn't change fields
  • A typical-results statement next to every outcome number
  • Every price on the page, a payment plan that ends, and a two-week refund rule
  • Six follow-up messages after an application, including a rebook text within 15 minutes of a missed call

The readiness assessment

Eight questions on clarity, runway, time and budget give a score out of 100 and a written read-out. Scores of 70 and up see two real call times; everyone else gets a workshop seat, so the calendar fills with people who can say yes.

You get
A score out of 100 and a written read-out
  1. How clear is the field you want to move into?

I can name the role and three employers · I have two or three directions · I know what I want to leave, not where to go · I'm not sure I want to leave yet

  2. Have you talked to anyone doing that work?

Three or more real conversations · One or two · Not yet, but I know who to ask · No one so far

  3. If your pay dipped for a year, how many months of bills could you cover?

Twelve months or more · Six to eleven months · Three to five months · Under three months

  4. What first-year pay change could you accept for the right role?

A cut of 15% or more · A cut of up to 15% · Only a small dip · No dip at all

  5. How many hours a week can you protect for the next 12 weeks?

Five or more · Three to four · One to two · Under an hour

  6. When do you want to be working in the new field?

Within six months · Six to twelve months · Sometime in the next two years · No date yet

  7. The 12-week program is $2,400, or 3 payments of $850. Where are you with that?

It's set aside · I'd use the payment plan · I'd need a few months to save · It isn't possible right now

  8. If the right role came up eight weeks from now, would you take it?

Yes, I'd move · Probably, if the pay worked · I'd want more time · No

Take the assessment
Typical siteOur rebuild
Drag to compare. A typical career-change coaching program site vs our rebuild.
  • A 'book a free call' button for everyone became a scored assessment that routes by readiness and budget.
  • Low scorers get the free workshop and a plan template, so the calendar holds people who can say yes.
  • Applications book one of two real times, then get a prep video, three reminders and a rebook text if they miss it.

Built to respect

FTC earnings-claim rules: no income or job promises, a typical-results statement beside every outcome, and the ledger labelled as sample data. No therapy or mental-health claims. No auto-renewing memberships. SMS only with separate opt-in and STOP. Coach credentials stated by ICF level.
